How Cornerstone Began

Cornerstone Church started with a clear calling: to plant a church in Okotoks that desires to love God and love our community well.

When Nathan and Emily Taylor, along with their three children, felt God leading them to plant in Okotoks, they envisioned a community where everyone would have the opportunity to hear and experience the life-changing news of the Gospel.

Joined by a dedicated Church Planting Core Team from diverse backgrounds and supported by generous partner churches, Cornerstone was established not to build our own kingdom, but to build God’s Kingdom right here in our city.

 

Where We Are Today

As a new church plant, we know we don't look like every traditional church—and that’s by design. We are focused on what matters most: building authentic, grace-filled relationships, gathering in homes across Okotoks, and serving our neighbors in practical ways.

With Jesus as our Cornerstone, our mission is simple: Connect people to Christ and the Church, Equip believers to grow deeply in their faith, and Send them out to live on mission.
